South Maui School Gardens Project

We’re serving up Pizza Garden Harvest Parties this week at Kihei Elementary School and you’re invited! We could use a few extra volunteers during both days to assist in managing the kids for this fun event on Thursday and Friday.
On the menu… KES garden sponsors Chef Brian Etheridge of Capische? and Chef Dan Fiske of PrivateMauiChef.com will demo recipes and serve pizza made with ingredients grown and harvested from the school’s Pizza Garden. Students will learn about ingredients grown for their favorite foods and collecting herbs to create their own tomato, fresh mozzarella & basil caprese salads!
If you can drop by and help out for even an hour, please do. You’ll be glad you did.

Parking is available in the lower Kihei Community/Aquatics Center parking lot across Lipoa Street from Kihei Elementary School . Please check in at the office and get a name tag on your way over to the garden.
