Trained Master Gardeners are available to answer your gardening questions. Many questions can be answered right away. Others will require some research and a returned phone call.
Occasionally the Master Gardener help desk may need to see your plant problem to give a proper diagnosis and you may schedule an appointment to come in or feel free to drop by the help desk during scheduled hours anytime with your questions and plant problems.
This is a great community service. Give Maui Master Gardeners a call the next time you have a garden issue you need an answer for.

Aloha! This is Andy Fox emailing to request some assistance in developing a list of non-native (but non-invasive) plants to be included as options to round out our menu of native plants for the statewide planting day this October. We are offering suggestions on our website (retree-hawaii.org) by planting zone, and wanted to include 3-5 options for each zone for groundcover, shrub and tree. The native menu is pretty well covered in the Maui County Planting guide, so we have adapted that for this purpose. We haven’t had any success so far in generating this list, and thought Master Gardeners might be able to help.
Mahalo!
