Kumu kanu is the starting or originating plant that begins a plant collection. It is the first plant that the following seeds come from. It is also the teacher. The relationship with the kumu kanu teaches us the things that help us understand how to mālama that plant.

Login FAQ

I forgot my password, can you reset for me? Please use the “I forgot my password” on the login page. It is all automated and we donʻt know your password. If needed, send a note to support and our support staff can reset for you however that may take up to 24 hours.

Change Your Password
To change your password, mouse-over the top right area where it says “Howdy, Your Name”. Select Edit Profile. You’ll be taken to a page where about 2/3 down you can reset your password. Make sure to “Save Profile” at the bottom. Then select your browser back button to go back to the page you were on.
Registration FAQ

You need to register using this form. It will take up to 15 minutes for you to get email confirmation. If you do not receive confirmation within that time, please send a note to support and weʻll take care of you as soon as possible.

If you want to enroll all your students, send a list of emails using the support form to right, and weʻll enroll them within 24 hours. You and each student will receive an email confirmation. Note: For Kit activities, students do not need to register.
